Communication Design

Communication designers are interdisciplinary by nature. We make things that you see, read, touch, and experience every day. Our visual messages live on a static page, a dynamic screen, or a user interface.

Our curriculum is Graphic Design made dynamic. Students begin with the core design principles, which include image, typography, color, messaging, motion, UX, semiotics, and more. This design thinking then meets the language of print, code, and motion as they build design experiences that engage users on a wide variety of communication platforms.

Communication Design will be a STEM-designated program for students starting in the fall of 2021. New international students completing this program will qualify to apply for the STEM OPT (optional practical training) extension.
