Imagine holding in your hands a book that pulses with the energy and vibrancy of hip hop culture designed like a high-end magazine, but with the depth and storytelling of a timeless book. This is more than just a collection of pages; it's a visual journey through the heart of Hip Hop's evolution. Every page bursts with bold colors, street art-inspired typography, and dynamic layouts that mirror the rhythm and flow of the beats that shaped the genre.This magazine styled book is named the “Hip Hop Collection." This designed book reflects the dynamic and raw energy of hip hop, using bold typography, vibrant color schemes, and dynamic layouts that embody the spirit of the genre. The book will not only include a written analysis of hip hop's social and cultural relevance but also incorporate visual storytelling through photography, graffiti-inspired illustrations, and timeline graphics. By blending factual research with creative expression, the project aims to educate readers about hip hop's influence on music, fashion, and social activism, while highlighting its ongoing relevance in contemporary design and culture.

CDS X DETROIT

This vibrant campaign celebrates the College of Creative Studies Communication Design and Strategy Department by merging Detroit's rich manufacturing history with modern design innovation. Targeting out-of-state junior and senior high school students interested in design, the campaign showcases College for Creative Studies Communication Design and Strategy Department expertise in experiential typography, motion graphics, and versatile design associates in an interactive type-focused style. Within this campaign me and my team, Lauren Moore, Natalie Orlando, and Jenna Vineyard showcase the communication department and its relation to Detroit's history with a 30 second motion video, Instagram Carousel, Jumbo graphics, and Vlog.

This motion centers around the theme of empowerment, drawing inspiration from a vibrant Pinterest board brimming with confidence, luxury, and motivation. The visual identity for this project reflects the energy and ambition of modern women striving for success, independence, and fulfillment in all areas of life. Set to the dynamic beats of Drake and Nicki Minaj, the soundtrack fuels the narrative, enhancing the visuals with a sense of power, ambition, and unapologetic self-expression. The video weaves together themes of high-end lifestyle, personal growth, and motivation, using bold colors, sleek typography, and fluid motion to capture the essence of strength, resilience, and luxury. Through the combination of aspirational imagery, empowering quotes, and a beat-driven pace, this motion branding project embodies a life of determination and style, inviting viewers to step into a world where confidence reigns, and possibilities are endless.

This bold and playful “Grow With Your Bros” campaign, developed from the iconic Detroit Red Wings' brand perspective, celebrates the camaraderie, passion, and personal growth that come from collaboration and working with your teammates. Me and my team Sierra Chrisenhall, Jenna Vineyard, and Morgan Guerrieri research on the team’s rich legacy, community impact, and iconic cultural influence, that emphasizes the deeper values of teamwork, resilience, and unity that define sport and teamwork through a fraternity perspective. Using the Red Wings’ reputation as "Hockeytown" and their role as a unifying force in Detroit and beyond, the campaign inspires players and fans alike to connect over their shared love for hockey and competitiveness. By embracing the team’s traditions, the campaign uses a mix of nostalgia and contemporary storytelling to appeal to a diverse audience.

SENSE YOUR SCENTS

"Sense Your Scents"project is a digital exploration of how real-world objects, like my luxury perfume collection, transform when represented in digital spaces. Focusing on the perfume bottles as symbols of elegance and sensory experience, the project reimagines how these objects are perceived, interacted with, and understood when flattened into digital environments. By translating the tactile and olfactory experience of perfume into a mobile-first website, the goal is to examine how user behavior, screen size, and interaction patterns alter the hierarchy and meaning of these objects across different devices such as mobile, desktop, wearables, and even immersive platforms.

Through this “3 Week Sprint” fictional voting campaign, I worked with two other team members, Chelsea Rogers and Jenna Vineyard, naming our team (#CampaignColleagues). Our goal was to design and create a bold campaign that inspires personal and collective growth for the greater good for multi-cultural voters. Often, new voters from multicultural backgrounds face barriers that can silence their voices which discourages them from voting. Our campaign encourages our audience to break down the walls of voter suppression and build bridges of participation in order for their voices to be heard.
