#WhyVoteUSA

#WhyVoteUSA

In the United States, young people are less likely to vote than older generations. Voters aged 18-34 will make up over 40 million potential voters in 2024, nearly one-fifth of the American electorate. Now, more than ever, we need young people’s fresh perspectives and ideas to encourage their generation to make their voices heard and their values considered in this election. #WHYVOTE USA aims to boost political participation and educate young people on the power of their vote through creativity. Everyone talks about how important it is to vote, but how exactly do you do that? It can be stressful to figure out how to vote, where to vote, and keep track of deadlines—especially with everything else going on during college. Our campaign engages voters aged 18-22 and gives them access to resources and information so they can take actionable steps. This includes instructions on how to register, check registration status, meet deadlines, and know what to expect.

Communication Design and Strategy Rebrand

Communication Design and Strategy Rebrand

This campaign is designed to celebrate CCS Communication Design & Strategy by utilization of a creative zone found in current identity. Using the prompts, We Think, We Make, We Play, we created a campaign to remind us of our handicraft and to encourage incoming students of what communication design and strategy really is.

313 DET

313 DET explores the intersection of design and entrepreneurship, focusing on how designers can play a key role in creating market-ready products. Over seven weeks, we collaborated with the Detroit Wood Type Company to develop, design, and produce a line of thoughtfully crafted paper goods. The goal was to take a product from concept to completion, making it ready to be showcased and sold at a student exhibition at the end of the semester.

Converse Semiotic Study

Converse Semiotic Study

Attending concerts is something my friends and I frequently do as a way to bond over our shared passion for music. When tasked with selecting an object to study, my well-worn concert shoes stood out as the perfect representation of these experiences. Their visible wear and tear not only reflect our countless adventures but also symbolize the timeless appeal of Converse shoes. To capture the essence of this object, I conducted extensive research on both the shoes and the cultural significance of the brand. I meticulously photographed the shoes from various angles, producing a series of images that formed the foundation for 20 distinct compositions. Each composition was thoughtfully designed to emphasize the wear on the shoes and evoke the history of a brand that has endured for generations.
