826 San Jose: The Crater

826 San Jose: The Crater

The primary goal for this project was to create a complete brand identity from the framework of 826 National, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide writing and tutoring programs for K-12 students. For my project, I was given the city of San Jose, California to research. I found that the location was on the San Andreas fault line and had frequent earthquakes. With that research, I decided to make a brand identity to sell all items children could shake, rattle, and roll. The primary items I decided to sell were milkshakes, shaker cups, piggy banks, maracas, and salt shakers. This would make educating kids more interactive and fun while demonstrating how earthquakes worked and impacted their environment.

Blu Boi Club: Mental Health Streewear

I’ve have been creating designs for a streetwear clothing company I started called Blu Boi Club. My main goal with this brand is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, along with other social issues, by portraying them in vivid and bold designs. I hope to foster more empathy within the community I’m building, in turn cultivating more understanding view of those who suffer from mental illness. I do this by making designs that visualize the symptoms of these mental illnesses, while making them more palatable for those who aren\'t as comfortable talking about them.

Oasis: Water Filtration App

Oasis: Water Filtration App

Michigan has a huge water pollution problem. Too many people in Detroit don\'t have safe drinking water or don\'t know what they are drinking and how it could affect their health in the long run. We want to help end this issue, starting right from residents\' homes. My team aimed to increase the amount of transparency that residents have about the content of their water, eliminating the need to rely on legislatures for accurate information. This is where the Oasis App comes in. We designed an app that accompanies a system of 5 devices that allow for you to analyze the chemicals and pollutants in your water. Our system which includes Drop, Tap, Sip, Carry, and Pipe let you know exactly what\'s in your water and if it\'s safe to consume.
