The content covers key influences on the genre, including its roots in African American and Caribbean communities, The language of typography that came about, the fashion, the top key figures who paved the way of hip hop, and how the genre intersected with historical, cultural, and technological shifts over the decades. ”

This campaign celebrates CCS Communication Design & Strategy by merging Detroit’s rich manufacturing history with modern design innovation. Targeting out-of-state junior and senior high school students interested in design, the campaign will showcase CCS’s expertise in typography through an experimental, type-focused style. Inspired by Detroit’s industrial past, bold, modular typefaces will be reimagined with a digital flair, creating a fresh, forward-thinking visual identity. The goal is to inspire the next generation of designers by highlighting CCS’s unique blend of creativity and strategy.

This motion cinema centers around the theme of empowerment, drawing inspiration from a vibrant Pinterest board brimming with confidence, luxury, and motivation. The visual identity for this project reflects the energy and ambition of modern women striving for success, independence, and fulfillment in all areas of life. Set to the dynamic beats of Drake and Nicki Minaj, the soundtrack fuels the narrative, enhancing the visuals with a sense of power, ambition, and unapologetic self-expression. The video combines themes of high-end lifestyle, personal growth, and motivation, using bold colors, sleek typography, and fluid motion to capture the essence of strength, resilience, and luxury. Through the combination of aspirational imagery, empowering quotes, and a beat-driven pace, this motion branding project embodies a life of determination and style, inviting viewers to step into a world where confidence reigns, and possibilities are endless.

"Sense you Scent" is a digital exploration of how real-world objects, like my luxury perfume collection, is transformed when represented in digital spaces. Focusing on the perfume bottles as symbols of elegance and sensory experience, the project reimagines how these objects are perceived, interacted with, and understood when flattened into digital environments. By translating the tactile and olfactory experience of perfume into a mobile-first website, the goal is to examine how user behavior, screen size, and interaction patterns alter the hierarchy and meaning of these objects across different devices such as mobile, desktop, wearables, and even immersive platforms.

“Breaking Barriers” campaign challenges teams up to twos or threes to create a non-partisan communication system. My team explore a communication campaign aimed at first-time multicultural voters in the upcoming election. This voting campaign is strategically designed to engage and mobilize multicultural voters by addressing the unique challenges and perspectives within these diverse communities. This initiative comprises a 3 week sprint project of making three interconnected components: 3-6 visually cohesive social media images, a dynamic 10-15 second motion graphic, and a compelling 30-second vlog. Each element of the campaign will communicate a central message that advocates for the freedom to vote while emphasizing the civil and human rights that are integral to this essential responsibility. “Dreams and Nightmares” is a poster series that visually explores the contrasting experiences of success and entrapment, illustrating the journey of breaking free from the constraints of a traditional 9-5 job. Through bold design, these two posters symbolize the emotional highs of pursuing one’s dreams and the darker reality of feeling trapped in a routine life. The “Dreams” poster captures the essence of success, freedom, and fulfillment. It depicts an expansive, open space with vibrant colors and fluid, uplifting typography, symbolizing the limitless possibilities that come with pursuing passions beyond the constraints of a typical workday. The design radiates optimism, portraying the liberation and empowerment of building a life on one’s terms, with elements that reflect creativity, ambition, and achievement. In contrast, the “Nightmares” poster conveys the suffocating feeling of being stuck in a 9-5 grind, symbolized through darker tones and rigid, confined typography. The design evokes a sense of restriction, as though time and space are closing in, highlighting the monotony and mental strain of working in a job that feels limiting and unfulfilling. The visual composition expresses the internal conflict of feeling trapped in a cycle, disconnected from personal dreams and passions.
