Volkswagen Bloo

Volkswagen Bloo

The Bloo Car was created to reimagine mobility for a 32-year-old single mother with two toddlers, living on a limited income. Our team focused on one core principle: “Simplicity is Best.” The goal was to design a vehicle and digital experience that reduced stress, saved time, and supported her daily life without unnecessary complexity or cost.

Environmental Interpretive Center Natural Movement

Environmental Interpretive Center Natural Movement

The University of Michigan Dearborn’s Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) partnered with CCS to improve visibility, engagement, and navigation. Despite its rich outdoor trails, the center was little known and its interior lacked clarity and interaction. Our team created a redesign concept called Natural Movement, inspired by the flow and change found in nature. Key solutions included: Website & Digital Tools – A redesigned site with accessible navigation, a cohesive identity, and an interactive trail map. Posters with QR codes bridged online access with on-site visits. Wayfinding System – A clear visual language across signage, floor graphics, and a custom icon set that unified physical and digital touchpoints. Interactive Exhibits – Pressure-sensitive sound features for the bird exhibit that played authentic bird calls, adding a playful, educational layer along with a projected watershed exhibit to highlight the importance of it’s history.

MWAH

The project examined how real-world objects transform when displayed on digital platforms like phones, tablets, and computers, and how these shifts influence user experiences. By focusing on responsive design, the goal was to create content that seamlessly adapts to various devices, ensuring usability and visual appeal across mobile and desktop platforms.

Design Canon

The objective of this project was to explore the work and context of a chosen designer or design group, focusing on how their work has been shaped by cultural, technological, and societal factors. This deep dive built valuable skills in research, problem-solving, and design, while also fostering an understanding of how history, culture, and society influence design choices.
