This assignment entailed researching a trend signal and creating a narrative and story behind it to enhance the CMF Design of an industry of our choosing. The Second Star to the Right is an interior design project that pays homage to the red supergiant star, Betelgeuse, thanking it for its beauty, and reassuring it that its legacy will continue after it goes supernova.
First Place Scholarship Winner In collaboration with Luxome, CCS student teams worked together to design a warm, comfortable, and breathable slipper to fit the Luxome brand. The Comfort Connection is a slipper concept that connects every room of the home together in a single product, and allows Luxome to proudly boast all-encompassing warmth and comfort, from the tops of our heads to the soles of our feet.
The goal of this project was to choose an industry and to forecast trends in regards to that industry. The Future of Play: Honoring Your Inner Child, is about the future of the toy industry and more specifically focusing on adult play and the stigma surrounding it.
This is an animated video abstract for the paper: Using Audio Stimuli in Acceptability Judgment Experiments, written by Yourdanis Sedarous and Savithry Namboodiripad and published in Volume 14, Issue 8 of the Language and Linguistics Compass Journal, in August of 2020.
