The Slice Of Pie is a lightweight, urban minibus focused on urban revitalization in Michigan. It focuses on accessible, comfortable design taking cues from public transit and architecture. This project was done for the Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification and focused heavily on the overall system in which this vehicle would operate, not just the design itself.
The Gator "Platform" is a UTV designed to fill as many work categories as possible on one efficient vehicle platform. Tasks ranging from golf course maintenance to the most rugged service calls are considered through a system of modular parts, allowing the Gator to be upfitted for virtually any task or consumer need. Focusing on "gamifying" various working tasks allow the Gator Platform to be both fun and very practical.
The Volkswagen Sojourn was inspired by the geography of Seattle, Washington, where there are huge mountain ranges and forests right next to a vibrant and technologically advanced city. The Sojourn was designed to provide a luxurious experience blended with a capable family station wagon, while being highly efficient and deriving design cues from past VW concepts. The result is a blend of approachable and friendly features paired with a highly machined aesthetic.
The Honda Kickstart was designed for a studio sponsored by the American Chemistry Council, and as a result, much of the research was spent determining how a vehicle built with little or no steel would look. Using innovative joining methods, this concept focuses on how an urban service van might look and function, especially when oriented towards fleet use. Various material composites make up the exterior panels and serve different functions for each portion of the vehicle. Additionally, a major consideration was recycling the vehicle at the end of its life, so consideration was given to how the vehicle is disassembled easily.
