Cupid's Bow

Cupid's Bow

In honor of its recent release on Steam, here's the hero asset I did for my junior class's game, Corporate Cupid. This is Cupid's Bow, his weapon of love to fight against the gloom of the corporate workers! After bouncing concepts of the bow back and forth collaboratively with concept artist Zayyan Aslam, I worked on the model in Zbrush and Maya. While I made the textures in Substance Painter for both my bow and the arrows, the arrows were modeled by Jonathan Barnett.

Letters infused with strong love come to life, sprouting wings and delivering themselves with the help of their mouse accomplice! I made this in an independent study with Ben LePage. It was a really fun experiment blending two of my skills together and I can't wait to do more with this style of work! Special thanks also to Dave Bentley for his help as well! Models made in Autodesk Maya, Textures made in BlockBench (tweaks made in Photoshop), and rendered out in Marmoset! ♡
