Once There Were Wolves Picture Book Adaptation

Once There Were Wolves Picture Book Adaptation

This was a two part project from my Junior Studio. I adapted Charlotte McConaghy's book titled "Once There Were Wolves" into a children's/picture book format including the front cover and one internal spread. The layout was built to leave space for text. McConaghy's work has environmentalist undertones, which is what I really wanted to highlight.

Orange Frenzy

Orange Frenzy

Mock editorial illustration to pair with an article that discussed the cause of orange pigmentation in house cats (it's a gene deletion!). Here is the article: https://www.sciencenews.org/article/gene-mutation-orange-calico-cat-fur

Your Choice

Loosely quote based project for my Natural Science Illustration class of a burrowing owl. The quote was “To forget how to dig the earth and tend the soil is to forget ourselves." from Gandhi. I wanted to represent how when we hurt the planet, we hurt ourselves. Every organism has a purpose in its ecosystem, so our destruction of it will eventually catch up to us. It is our choice whether we will help or cause harm.

Assorted Magical Animal Designs

Assorted Magical Animal Designs

This was a project I did for my Junior Studio. I wanted to create an assortment of designs in a similar style that could be placed on different items or made into stickers. My motto while designing them was "nature is magical", so I chose to do all keystone species. To me, they represent nature's magic as they help hold up entire ecosystems.

Dedication

Self portrait for my Intro to Digital Art class! I wanted to highlight the dedication and passion I feel towards creating art.
