“Somewhere With You” is a landscape series that documents the feeling of being with loved ones. The photographs focus on how ordinary moments and spaces shift when shared. The work is about presence, intimacy, and the quiet awareness that a moment is already becoming a memory. This series began from a place of love. I noticed certain spaces felt more alive because of who I was with in them. Whether that was a parking lot, a field, or on the sidewalk, it felt more energetically charged when I was surrounded by people or animals I love. Everything became still and softer. Making these images became a way to honor this love I have for these moments. I not only wanted to photograph the landscape, but the emotional imprint left within its moment. These photographs are about loving the people and animals in my life while wanting to hold onto these moments with them, of feeling visible and understood. This work is meant to sit in limbo between now and nostalgia, in recognizing that a moment together is something I will miss.
