Ring: The Great and Powerful

Ring: The Great and Powerful

The goal of this project was to develop a memorable Big Idea TV commercial for the Ring Doorbell, showcasing its unique benefits—two-way communication and real-time video surveillance. By tapping into the nostalgia and universal recognition of The Wizard of Oz, I created a Halloween-themed commercial that tells a simple yet engaging story, blending entertainment with product utility in an emotionally impactful way. Through this project, I honed my ability to craft compelling concepts and narratives that resonate across traditional, digital, and social media platforms. I integrated the brand authentically into the story, blurring the line between advertising and entertainment to elicit a meaningful emotional connection with viewers. The process also enhanced my skills in commercial directing, video editing, and color correction while providing valuable real-world production experience.

Kiss: Always Press On

Kiss: Always Press On

The goal of this project was to create a branded entertainment commercial for Kiss Press-On Nails that seamlessly integrates the brand into a compelling story with a strong, diverse, and socially impactful message. We addressed the issue that women in male-dominated sports often feel they must downplay their femininity to be perceived as capable or strong. The commercial highlights the story of a fierce female fighter who confidently embraces both her athleticism and femininity, wearing Kiss Press-On Nails with pink and purple fighting gear as symbols of her identity. By redefining femininity as a strength rather than a weakness, the campaign empowers women to challenge outdated perceptions in sports and inspires a new generation. Through this project, I learned to integrate a brand authentically within a story, blurring the line between advertising and entertainment while evoking an emotional response from the audience. Additionally, I honed my skills in commercial directing, video editing, and color correction, while managing a large production crew and ensuring the seamless execution of the campaign. This project demonstrated how thoughtful storytelling can amplify a brand's message and connect with consumers on a deeper, more meaningful level.

Pampers Village

Pampers Village

The goal of this project was to identify a brand's unique value and create a custom mobile app centered around that benefit. We chose Pampers, addressing a common challenge for parents: the constant need for diapers. We created Pampers Village, an app that connects parents in need of diapers with those who have extras to share. Parents can sign up to either give or receive diapers, fostering a community of support. This concept repositions Pampers as a "Brand for Good," promoting customer loyalty while reducing waste and helping families in need. This project sharpened my UI/UX design skills and reinforced the importance of crafting intuitive, user-centered experiences. Additionally, it expanded my expertise in animation, elevating the app's final case study.

Story Time

Story Time

Many readers find it challenging to stay fully engaged while reading. To address this, I designed and simulated an AI-powered audiobook app that enhances the reading experience for those who struggle with focus. The app uses AI to analyze a book’s literary content, generating unique character voices, sound effects, and dynamic music to create an immersive audiobook experience. This approach is designed to enhance literary comprehension and minimize distractions. Integrated with the Amazon Kindle API, the app provides access to over 4 million books, making it a versatile tool for avid readers. The user interface is thoughtfully crafted to support readers with attention difficulties, offering an intuitive layout for listening, reading, and annotating seamlessly. I conceptualized, designed, prototyped the app and animated its case study. This project taught me the critical role of UI/UX design in not only enhancing user enjoyment but also solving real-world challenges for diverse audiences.

Hot Hands: Fight the Freeze

Hot Hands: Fight the Freeze

Hot Hands hand warmers are often overlooked as an every *cold* day essential. To shift this perception, I developed a print campaign that illustrated various extreme real-life situations where Hot Hands provide crucial warmth and comfort. By showcasing how these hand warmers can be a reliable companion during life’s "coldest moments," we emphasized their importance as an on-the-go must-have. One challenge was ensuring the visuals were both realistic and visually clear, a process that greatly enhanced my Photoshop and photography skills. This project taught me how to effectively activate and engage consumers by tapping into their motivations through strategic visual and verbal communication.
