Based on this vivid memory of my mom gripping my hand tightly at a railway station, I couldn’t understand why she was so firm. It wasn’t until I turned to see multiple missing posters that it hit me. Most of those posters depicted kids my age, and the image was seared into my brain, haunting me ever since.
