Where Did Everybody Go?

Where Did Everybody Go?

I am happy to showcase my 80s diner which tells the story of the disappearance of individuals from the rapture leaving the space recently abandoned. I was inspired by my love of the 80s and mysterious shows like Stranger Things. I had a ton of fun creating this original piece and bringing my concept to life. It took a lot of work, starting with sketches and planning, then modeling all the assets in Maya (over 50 single pieces in total), texturing them using Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop, and assembling them, the atmosphere, and the lighting in Unreal Engine 5. I created the animations, VFX, and compiled the shots into a video using Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve as well. I used one of my favorite 80s songs and a combination of Premiere Pro and Audition to get the desired audio effect. Overall, it was a 10-week process. This environment grew my skills, tested my patience, taught me to follow a strict schedule, and pushed me to learn two more software I previously had no exposure to: DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Audition. I am pleased with the results and hope you enjoy it too! On the 5th Day…

On the 5th Day…

Inspired by Genesis 1:20-1:23 “Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” 21 And God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.” I sculpted this sea turtle in Zbrush, did the UVs in Maya, textured it in Substance 3D Painter, used Megascans to create the environment, rendered, made the bubble VFX, and constructed the composition in Unreal Engine 5, and did finishing touches for the images in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro for the video. I am trying to learn animation and am proud of how I figured out how to rig, bind, paint skin weights, animate in Maya, and then transfer the animation into Unreal. I really pushed myself on this project, making the entire thing start to finish in around 5 days. Hope you enjoy it! Manifesto - To Be a Light In This World

Manifesto - To Be a Light In This World

Quick project done within less than a week. I really wanted to create something that represents my purpose and motive in life. I wanted to portray my endeavor of being a light in this world, making a positive impact, and bringing others to the creator through my creations. I tried to challenge myself with this project by teaching myself the ins and outs of subsurface scattering and also do something out of my comfort zone which for me is modeling humans. I am very happy with how it all turned out, especially with the quick turnaround time and how much I had to research to tackle these new skills. I sculpted this in Zbrush, UVed in Maya, textured it in Substance 3D Painter, arranged, created flame VFX, and rendered it in Unreal Engine 5. For the video, I used Adobe Premiere Pro. Frog

Little frog sculpt I did this week using Zbrush, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine 5 to light and render. I tried to make it as realistic as possible with all the slime and specific coloring they have. I used to catch frogs all the time as a child up north at a pond by where we stayed. This is a little nod to my childhood fascination with them.
