Character and Creature Design: Fe and Irmossa

Character and Creature Design: Fe and Irmossa

Tasked to create a character interacting with a creature, I created two aquatic alien species that co-depend on one another to survive while having a familial relationship. Fe, is from a species of water-breathing and humanoid creatures. They are tall, slender, and have fins to help glide through the water. Additionally, they wear a mask that holds water for them to breathe when they breach the surface. Irmossa, is a large sea dragon who's species lives as transportation and family members to the people of the oceans.

Character and Environment Design : The Viking and Kelpie

Character and Environment Design : The Viking and Kelpie

For this project I was given the location of Ireland to create an encounter inspired by the country's mythology. A Kelpie is emerging from the depths of the ocean to engage in a battle with a brave viking along the beaches of Ireland.

Classic Tale Revisualized : The Fisherman and His Wife

Classic Tale Revisualized : The Fisherman and His Wife

This piece is a recontextualized telling of "The Fisherman and His Wife." Taking the same themes from the original, a space officer is sent to a planet by his superior in order to colonize it. Great beasts reside within large bodies of water, which were discovered to be capable of mind control. Just like in the original, greed overpowers the colonizers and they use said powers to gain more control over the planet.

SPLAT Short Film

SPLAT Short Film

These two props were created for an independent photo-roman style short film titled "SPLAT". One is a young form, and the other is after the creature has grown. It is made of aluminum foil, sculpey clay, and resin. I shot the photos, created and sourced props, and did all post-production.

SFX Makeup

SFX Makeup

For this project I had my face casted in order for me to sculpt an SFX appliance on top of, and I got to cast other classmates. After sculpting a makeup look inspired by fungi, I created a basket mold and did a foam latex pour in order to create my appliances. I painted and applied the makeup.

MONOTONOUS Short Film

Depicting the experience of Monotony, I created this piece for my Narrative Art Project about physical space and its use. I independently planned out, shot, performed, and did all post-production.

M.A.S.H. Short Film Props

M.A.S.H. Short Film Props

After taking on the role of Art Direction and Prop Fabrication for a student-led short film titled M.A.S.H. by Jay Fazio, I created fake food props for a picnic scene. They consist of various pastries.
