My first ever animated project, “Unstrung!” is the story of Mirinda, a cat who loses her favourite ball of yarn, plays with a loose string from her tail instead, and consequently unravels herself.
I wrote the script, directed the team, and created papercut animation segments for a PSA on flood survival, localized and aimed towards children in high flood-risk areas in India, based on the nursery rhyme “Johnny Johnny”.
With the objective of designing a self-insert character for an existing animated show, I made Sun Ranya, daughter of Sun Wukong, for the world of Ever After High.
A timid young boy incurs the wrath of a genie, who turns out to be more playful than expected - it’s a short clip focused on studying and incorporating acting and lipsync in my 2D animation.
“The Girl Who Lived on the Stars” is a short story I’m illustrating as a whimsical kids’ book. These are the three main characters; star-dweller Maia, bubbly kid Anya, and the secret hero of the story, Bunny.
A 3D interior study done in Autodesk Maya.
A short experimental music video made on the song Empty Page by The Crane Wives, self-indulgently incorporating a character from my project, Mishri. This was made while learning Adobe AfterEffects.
My short story, the stork sister, has inspired me to design and animate the titular character - a shapeshifting stork based off animal bride mythology.
