Kayla is a an American weaver living abroad in Iceland, where she lives alone in her cabin and works in a fish factory. She develops a bad habit of bringing her work into her home, until she finds relief and connects with the people and things that matter to her. I was responsible for Kayla’s design and clothing, but I explored her cabin, as well as she would express and style herself. Fiskikona was created and directed by Nat Anderson.
This project was created and developed in the Intro to Visual Development course. I chose to adapt Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and took inspiration from both the book and film. Translating the characters from two separate mediums and transforming them into something new has been an enriching project!
Showstopper follows Shelly, a talented circus performer as she is kidnapped by a curious alien, and subsequently makes a new friend through juggling. I was in charge of the environments and developing the finalized circus setting, as well as the alien ship was an interesting new challenge where I learned a lot! Created and directed by Nat Anderson.
