DeRoy Education Partners

︎︎︎ Brand Identity Given the opportunity to come up with a brand language for DeRoy Education Partners, a mentorship program that takes financial pressure off of students while also providing more college successful skills, financial literacy, and career preparation. Our approach was to emphasize on DeEP creating a community for its cohort, creating a space where the students are able to be Purposefully Kind, Persistently Ambitious, and Passionately Bold. In collaboration with Brooklin Bekolay and Madi Ritenburgh

Fashion as a Feminist Tool

Fashion as a Feminist Tool

“Fashion is a form of expression, for decades it has played a huge role in shattering gender roles and constantly challenging limitations”. This explainer video was created to showcase how fashion was and still is an outlet for communicating women\'s values, stories, and ideals. There is an ongoing stigma on women’s appearance and bodies that society feels they have a need to control. Without the changes made by early fashion and feminist icons, using fashion as a form of expression may not be as common today.

Laguna Decorative Display

Laguna Decorative Display

In collaboration with the Henry Ford Museum, my peers and I spent hours in the archives of the museum searching for any reminisce of type to inspire us to create a typeface of our own. Naturally, I was heavily inspired by the grooviness and playfulness of the cultural revolution in the 70s through the 80s. Alas, Laguna was created paying homage to the extreme thicks and thins of the “lava lamp” looking typefaces but also bringing in a modern flare with its elongated stems.
