Houseplant Care Guide

Houseplant Care Guide

Do you have vines climbing up your wall or a dead cactus in the corner? Some people have a green thumb and others do not. No matter the experience level, the houseplant care guide benefits anyone who has an interest in indoor gardening. After thorough user research, research on houseplants, wireframing and planning, it was clear that there was a great need for an approachable, easy to use houseplant care app. For this reason, the app showcases clean, simple photography with a warm color scheme. These design choices make the app and website inviting spaces that make the user feel comfortable rather than intimidated while learning about plant care. Along with the feeling of the app and website, the experience makes indoor horticulture fun and easy by showing users how to look after all their houseplants, providing care reminders as well as monthly challenges.

AR Starta Layers of the Grand Canyon Exhibit

AR Starta Layers of the Grand Canyon Exhibit

Going to the Grand Canyon is an amazing experience but what if you could walk down through the strata layers? Wihin this experience you can! Located within a stairwell, The Strata of the Grand Canyon Exhibit allows visitors to learn about the different strata layers of this incredible formation in a unique, fun way. As the vistor walks down the stairs, they enter a new layer of the canyon and they are prompted to read about the formation and scan a QR code on the wall. After learning about the strata layer, the vistor can then see an AR artistic representation in the real world!

Futures Foundation Rebrand

Futures Foundation Rebrand

This was a collaborative rebrand with Kristina Webb, Marie Gangloff, Andrea Fredreiksen and Courtney Shinaberry Futures Foundation is a Michigan non-profit organization that fills in the gaps in essential care for people with disabilities. The organization is dedicated to elevating the disabled community through representation and education. My team and I believed that an organization with such an amazing mission deserved a brand identity that represented the group’s dynamic nature in a clear and powerful way. Through research, exploration and iteration, we created a bold, influential and transformative system. After all of our hard work, the board members decided to implement our identity as the new face of Futures Foundation.

826 Music-Ma-Bob Shop Brand

826 Music-Ma-Bob Shop Brand

826 is nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children improve their reading and writing skills. The organization achieves this goal through eight themed tutoring centers across the country. In order to fund the tutoring center in the back of the store, each location has a themed storefront, based on it’s geographical location, that sells fun products. The aim of this project was to create a fictional 826 store based in Nashville, Tennessee. By combining the fact that Nashville is the City of Music and the focus of 826 is to promote educational growth and creativity, Music-Ma-Bob Shop was born. The brand identity is centered on inventing, creating and music making.

SĀV Program

SĀV Program

This was a collaborative project with Kristina Webb, Stephanie Hoff, Morgan Gallagher and Alyssa Terry The disastrous effects of climate change are impacting cities around the world in a variety of ways. One way that climate change is impacting Detroit, MI, and Wayne County, is greater levels of rainfall per year. This increase in precipitation has been leading to repeated residential flooding in many neighborhoods. Seasonal flooding has been devastating to many as they are repeatedly having to deal with the resulting damage to property and possessions and sometimes even displacement. In response to this issue, my team and I designed a speculative flood relief program and a bold and accessible brand identity. SĀV would be a free program that citzens could utilize in order to recieve help after facing home flooding. From supplying food to shelter, the SĀV vehicles would provide a multitude of different services that would help a home flood victim after the storm.

Electric Forest Posters

Electric Forest Posters

Music festivals are often associated with raves, crazy times and illicit drug and alcohol use. However, those who attend the Michigan music festival, Electric Forest, know that a music festival can be a lot more meaningful. Year after year return festival goers come to Sherwood Forest in Rothbury, MI for amazing music, experiences and for the incredible connection to nature and others they feel during the weekend long festival. The promotional poster I created for the 2022 Electric Foreset festival highlights the opportunity this event gives attendees to connect with nature and friends as well as the chance to make new life long connections.
