Say Their Names Memorial

Say Their Names Memorial

The installation was designed in a grid layout, with each card representing a documented instance of police brutality. The cards are ordered chronologically and provide information such as the date, cause of death, age, location, and a QR code that links to further information on the victim\'s story. The aim of this project was to shed light on the devastating effects of police brutality within the Black community and provide a space for people to educate themselves and engage with this important issue. The art installation serves as a powerful tool to bring attention to the systemic problem of police brutality and to honor the lives lost to this epidemic.

Let Black Men Cry

Let Black Men Cry

Growing up, many Black men are taught to keep their emotions bottled up and \"man up\" in the face of vulnerability. This can lead to feelings of isolation and the inability to express themselves, even to those closest to them. But here\'s the thing, everyone deserves the chance to experience and express their emotions - including Black men. So, next time your Black son, nephew, grandfather, uncle, brother, father, or cousin starts to open up and show vulnerability, don\'t shut them down. Encourage them. Let them cry and be human. They deserve it.
