Bradbury Thompson

Bradbury Thompson

For this project, I researched a famous graphic designer—Bradbury Thompson—and his body of work. I then designed a book with the intent of displaying Thompson’s work and educating the reader on his publishing career. I aimed to reflect Bradbury Thompson’s methods in the design of the book itself, thus making the book an embodiment of Thompson himself.

Sprouts 826

Sprouts 826

Sprouts is a fictional produce market I created and branded. It is intended to be an extension of 826 National, a nonprofit organization that teaches literacy to youths in the United States. Every 826 building has a storefront unique to its community, so I made Sprouts unique to Creston, a neighborhood north of Grand Rapids, MI.

Making Miracles

Making Miracles

For this website, I picked a non-profit organization near me, and I researched its history, brand, and website design. I then found the weak points in the non-profit\'s website design, and I re-designed it to be more functional and aesthetically pleasing. After designing the site with Figma, I coded it using html and css.

Restorative Death

Restorative Death

Restorative Death is an exploration of the environmentally damaging aspects of death. My partner Rachel Kuehnal and I focused on mycelium and how it could forge a sustainable alternative to death—and the future of industry. The projected experience was designed by me, and the physical experience was designed by Rachel.

Laws of Simplicity

Laws of Simplicity

For this project, I took an existing book, The Laws of Simplicity, and redesigned it to better suit the author, John Maeda’s, essence. The re-imagination of The Laws of Simplicity is a conceptual exploration of Maeda’s words and concepts via a multipage document.
